Why we chose MontessoriWe didn’t choose Montessori because it is popular. We chose it because we experienced it as parents.
We saw children who:
- learn through curiosity, not pressure
- develop concentration through meaningful work
- move, explore, and think independently
- ask questions — and learn how to find answers
In a Montessori classroom, the teacher is not the only source of knowledge. The environment itself invites learning. Children are not passive listeners — they are active participants in their own education.
This was the kind of school we wanted for our children.
Building a different kind of schoolWhen it was time to choose a primary school, we explored many options. Some were strong, but most followed a traditional model — desks, lectures, and a single pace for all children.
We felt there could be another way.
At Baytik Private School:
- children are free to move and choose their work
- learning happens through hands-on materials
- each child progresses at their own pace
- teachers guide rather than instruct
Some children need more time to build a foundation. Others are ready to move ahead. In our classrooms, both are supported — without pressure and without comparison.
We also integrate big-picture learning — helping children understand the world, history, and their place in it. This creates not just knowledge, but meaning.
